The Lok Pal Bill must include the following provisions:
(i) Confesticate property from the offender equivalent to 5 times the bribe amount;
(ii) Make it an offense for individuals and corporations to give bribes;
(iii) Have a transparent mechanism with safeguards for the public to report demands for bribes;
(iv) Make it a punishable offense to even demand bribes or favours;
(v) The Act should cover every government officer -- from Village Panchayat to Government Hospitals ,
from PWD to tax departments such as Sales, Income, Excise, Customs, Ports etc.
